Monthly Meetings
11 September 2024: This monthly meeting was marked by Mrs R. Gcaba's address in celebration of the upcoming Heritage Day, and by congratulating Mrs Linda Shangase, our eldest member, on her 90th birthday!
9 November 2022: Masibambisane Retired Nurses Organisation held a meeting where we remembered our 16 members who have passed on since the start of the Organisation in 2001. We invited the Minister of Religion, Rev. A. L. Makhanya, and asked her to bless the position pins for the committee members. The pins were attached to the following members: the President, the Vice President, the Secretary, the Vice Secretary, the Treasurer, the Liaison Officer and both Consultants. We then prayed for the 16 candles that represented each member who passed away . The Rev. Makhanya read scripture verses from the Bible and shared a sermon. The whole group recited the Nurses Pledge of Service.
20 July 2022: Masibambisane Retired Nurses Organisation held their first and very successful meeting after the COVID-19 pandemic at the Clermont Sports Hall. The last meeting was held on 11 March 2020, which meant two years of not having any meetings. A total of 28 excited members were present, and a special prayer was conducted for the 16 members who passed on during the pandemic. The Organisation also warmly welcomed 8 new members. The meeting brought happiness and jubilation after 2 years of not coming together as colleagues and sisters. We are hopeful that we are going to get back to our monthly meetings from now on.
